A Centers for Disease Control (CDC) advisory committee unanimously voted to recommend Pfizer’s and BioNTech’s Covid-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11 on Tuesday. The recommendation paves the way for some 28 million eligible children in the United States to get the jab.

The advice is now in the hands of CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky, who will make the final decision.
