According to multiple media reports on Dec. 15, The U.S. Treasury Department is set to announce the blacklisting of eight Chinese companies as prohibited investments because of their alleged involvement in spying on the Uighur Muslim minority.

These companies include DJI, the world’s largest manufacturer of commercial drones. The company was already on the U.S. Commerce Department’s export control list last December. The Department of Homeland Security also warned U.S. companies back in 2019 about the dangers to company data posed by drones made by the Chinese Communist Party. At the same time, the U.S. Department of Commerce would also place more than 20 Chinese companies on the Export Control List, prohibiting U.S. companies from supplying technology and equipment to those companies. These blacklisted companies have been accused of providing the CCP with technological tools to suppress human rights, including identification and surveillance, artificial intelligence, and data technology.

The Biden administration on Thursday will also consider imposing tougher sanctions against U.S. companies for selling technology to China’s largest chipmaker, Semiconductor Manufacturing International.

In response to the possible U.S. measures, a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry has impatiently jumped in to shout that individual politicians on the U.S. side are generalizing the concept of national security and politicizing technology and economic and trade issues, contrary to the principles of market economy and fair competition. The repeated performance of the CCP’s mouthpiece has allowed the world to see through the nature of the Chinese Communist regime little by little. The time for the global forces of justice to unite to destroy the CCP together will surely come.
