NEW YORK CITY — A bus filled with mostly single adult male migrants arrived at Port Authority in New York City from Texas Friday morning — where they were greeted by volunteers handing out burritos — as Gov. Greg Abbott (R) continues dispersing record-breaking numbers of border crossers and illegal aliens arriving in his state to Democrat-run “sanctuary cities.”
New York City officials appeared to be unprepared for the migrants’ arrival, or at least lacked communication and coordination to receive them, as Port Authority did not initially have a gate for the bus to park, and Port Authority employees were not aware of the plan for arrival. The bus circled between 8th and 9th avenues Friday morning until it was finally able to park at Gate 14 at approximately 7:30 a.m.
“Because of President Biden’s continued refusal to acknowledge the crisis caused by his open border policies, the State of Texas has had to take unprecedented action to keep our communities safe,” Gov. Abbott said in a statement.
“In addition to Washington, D.C., New York City is the ideal destination for these migrants, who can receive the abundance of city services and housing that Mayor Eric Adams has boasted about within the sanctuary city,” Abbott said. “I hope he follows through on his promise of welcoming all migrants with open arms so that our overrun and overwhelmed border towns can find relief.”
When the bus arrived, Breitbart News witnessed passengers disembarking after a 3-day journey from Texas, greeted by a handful of volunteers. One volunteer was wearing a “NYC immigration services” t-shirt, but there did not appear to be any city employees present.
The greeters handed migrants a bag bearing the logo of the humanitarian aid organization “Save the Children”; however, there appeared to be fewer than 10 children among the group, and no more than 5 women. The rest of the 60-some passengers on the bus were single males between the ages of 20 to 40 years old.
The volunteers led the group through Port Authority, corralled them into the entrance of the bus station and handed out burritos. Some migrants were provided rides to other locations, but it was unclear where.

One migrant, a man who said his name is Alfonzo and who arrived alone, told Breitbart News he traveled from Venezuela through Mexico into Texas, where he was put directly on the bus to New York City.
He left his wife and children in Chile and explained that he came alone to America first and planned to bring them later. He does not have any family or connections in the United States and does not speak English. He came with one bag containing some toiletries and a pillow, and had 130 U.S. dollars.
Alfonzo told Breitbart News that now was a good “opportunity” to come to the United States, explaining that he did not believe he would be admitted under former President Trump’s administration, specifically mentioning that the wall along the southern border was an obstacle to entry. He said locals in Mexico accepted money to direct him toward the border.
Alfonzo said he was looking for work, but had never been to New York City or the United States. He did not have a place to stay and was not informed of any lodging services or resources.
Despite Democrat officials’ support for illegal immigration through their expansive sanctuary city policies, which shield illegal aliens from arrest and deportation from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a handful have warned that the migrant buses from Texas will overwhelm their city’s public resources.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D), for instance, has pleaded with Biden for “additional federal resources immediately” to deal with the illegal immigration surge. In another statement, Adams told New Yorkers to get “on board” with having their city overrun with border crossers and illegal aliens arriving and straining infrastructure, hospitals, schools, and neighborhoods.

“Everyone’s block is going to be impacted by this,” Adams said. “And so we have to add our advocacy with our ability to help our neighbors. We need everyone on board with this.”
“… our schools are going to be impacted, our healthcare system is going to be impacted, our infrastructure is going to be impacted,” he continued.
Adams’ office claims the migrant buses’ being sent to New York City is akin to using border crossers and illegal aliens “as political pawns,” calling the policy “disgusting.”
Gov. Abbott has issued a public invitation to Mayor Adams to visit the southern border, insisting the “sanctuary city” mayor witness “the magnitude of chaos created by Biden’s open-border policies.”
“I really wish they would [visit] because public officials across the country, they do need to realize the magnitude of the chaos created by Biden’s open-border policies,” Abbott said on Fox News Thursday.
“They’re up in arms about a few thousand people coming into their communities over the past few months? Listen, in any one sector in the state of Texas, we have more than 5,000 people coming across in that sector every single day,” Abbott continued.
Similarly, Washington, DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser requested National Guard troops last month to deal with what she called a “humanitarian crisis” of just over 6,000 migrants being bused to the capital from Texas since April.
Mayor Bowser / Facebook
Bowser, a staunch supporter of the region’s sanctuary city policy, claimed the migrant buses were a “tipping point” for Washington, DC, even as they pale in comparison to the level of illegal immigration that American border towns are forced to deal with under the Biden administration.
In Texas border towns alone, nearly 130,000 border crossers and illegal aliens were caught crossing the border in June. Most recently, in the small town of Normandy, Texas — with a population of just 29 residents — about 400 border crossers and illegal aliens crossed into the area this month.
Open borders activists are balking at red states taking immigration enforcement into their own hands by busing border crossers and illegal aliens to blue states and cities like New York and Washington, DC.
In April, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) announced that state officials would begin chartering buses to transport border crossers and illegal aliens to Washington, DC, and other cities.
As a result, Washington, DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser is asking President Joe Biden to deploy the National Guard after she said about 4,000 border crossers and illegal aliens have arrived in the region over the last few weeks.
Illegal immigration to D.C., Bowser said, is at a “tipping point.” Similarly, New York City Mayor Eric Adams has warned New Yorkers that illegal immigration to the city is likely to cripple the healthcare system and infrastructure as well as overwhelm schools and neighborhoods.
Now, mass migration activists argue that Abbott’s order may not be legal.
“There are ongoing questions about what authority they have to bus people from one location to another,” Aaron Reichlin-Melnick with the American Immigration Council told the Texas Tribune. “Legally speaking, is that immigration enforcement? I still don’t know.”
The number of border crossers and illegal aliens arriving in D.C. and New York City pales in comparison to those arriving in America’s small border communities.
In Texas border towns, alone, nearly 130,000 border crossers and illegal aliens were caught crossing the border in June. Most recently, in the small town of Normandy, Texas — with a population of just 29 residents — about 400 border crossers and illegal aliens crossed into the area this month.

TAMPA, Florida — Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview here this past weekend at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit (SAS) that “openly racist” commentary from Democrats like a blogger paid by Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX) and even from even first lady Jill Biden are exacerbating a shift among Hispanic voters already underway from the Democrats to the Republicans.
During the interview, Cruz referenced how Jill Biden called Hispanics “breakfast tacos” in a recent speech in San Antonio and how Gonzalez—the vulnerable Democrat congressman in a South Texas district primed to flip to the GOP for the first time in over a century—paid a blogger who called Rep. Mayra Flores (R-TX) “Miss Frijoles,” among other racist attacks.
“Democrats are openly racist,” Cruz said. “Their attitude toward minorities is they want Hispanics, they want African Americans, they want all of us to just stay on the plantation, shut up, and obey them. We saw Jill Biden come down to San Antonio and compare Hispanics—say ‘you are as diverse as breakfast tacos,’ which I got to say, as the son of a Cuban immigrant, is pretty damn offensive. Like, lady, we’re not tacos. By the way, every bit as hysterical, she tried to reference bodegas up in New York and she called them ‘bogedas’ which was a classic, rich, out-of-touch liberal trying to pretend ‘you minority people: shut up and vote for the Democrats,’ like you’re supposed to. The amazing thing about the taco line is that wasn’t a gaffe. That wasn’t like Joe Biden on a foreign trip just saying something stupid into the camera, which he does all the time. That was written into the teleprompters. The White House staff signed off on it. This Biden White House thought it was good to call Hispanics a bunch of tacos, so of course Vicente Gonzalez pays someone to call Mayra Flores ‘Miss Frijoles’ because their view—by the way, we also had a Democratic congressman get on the House floor last week and lambast Clarence Thomas because he is black and he’s married to a white woman.”

Cruz continued by noting that the “racism” Democrats espouse is “grotesque,” but he argued they get away with it because, with rare exceptions—he pointed to Breitbart News and Fox News as two outlets willing to regularly call them out—most media outlets ignore it.
“It is grotesque, the racism of Democrats and that they casually throw out these kinds of insults,” Cruz said. “You know what they count on? They count on that the corporate media will never report it and will keep it quiet. You guys will cover it. Fox will cover it. But in the corporate media it doesn’t exist and they will keep it silent forever.”
Those comments about the racial insensitivity of radical leftists came in a broader interview about a shift ongoing in the Hispanic community away from Democrats towards Republicans. Flores, who won a special election in South Texas just a few weeks ago, flipped a congressional seat away from the Democrats that had not gone Republican since Ulysses Grant was President of the United States way back in 1871—just six years after Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. This Flores win came after significant gains that former President Donald Trump made in the Hispanic community in the 2020 election and wins from Hispanic GOP candidates and gains among the Hispanic community more broadly for Republicans in November 2020 and again in November 2021 in the Virginia gubernatorial election.
“I think it’s happening. I think it’s going to intensify,” Cruz told Breitbart News of the trend. “The reasons are a couple things. Number one, the Hispanic community is seeing what a train wreck the socialist agenda is. They’re seeing that everyday life is harder under Joe Biden. They’re paying more at the grocery store for food. They’re paying a lot more for gasoline. They’re seeing crime skyrocketing across the country. They’re seeing illegal immigration completely out of control—open borders. And, I think they’re fed up. They’re ticked off, just like the rest of Americans. And I got to say particularly in South Texas. South Texas is overwhelmingly Hispanic and it’s been Democrat for over a hundred years. It has been a bastion of the Democrat Party.”
Not only does Flores have a shot at holding her seat in November—a much taller task than the special election because of redistricting shifting the district more Democrat—but Republicans also have two more Hispanic women candidates in two other South Texas Democrat-held seats in Cassy Garcia and Monica de la Cruz, who similarly have shots at flipping those seats. Cruz predicted a red wave in Hispanic South Texas during this interview with Breitbart News.
“My prediction is I think South Texas is going to turn red this November,” Cruz said. “We saw the first inklings of that with a special election just a few weeks back. It was in a district in Texas that is right along the gulf coast. It runs from south of Corpus Christi all the way down to Brownsville, which is the southern tip of Texas. It’s right on the Mexican border. It is the second most Hispanic district in the United States of America and when we had the special election they elected a Republican—and not just a Republican, a Hispanic woman. The last time that district had a Republican member of Congress was 1871. That’s a big, big deal. There are two other districts next to it, both of which are represented right now by Democrats. I think we have a great shot at flipping all three of those districts and electing three Republicans—all Hispanic women who are conservatives—and one of the big drivers particularly in South Texas is they see firsthand the misery and suffering caused by Biden’s open borders policies. They see their hospitals overflowing, they see their schools overflowing, they see prisons overflowing, they see children being violently and sexually assaulted by drug cartels, and they’re fed up. You can’t go and see what’s happening on the border and defend it, and I think in South Texas the Hispanic community knows that firsthand.”
The three Latina GOP candidates—Flores, de la Cruz, and Garcia—call themselves, as Breitbart News has reported, the “triple threat.” All three are hardcore conservatives and not pandering to the establishment when it comes to immigration policy, something Cruz is hopeful and excited about going into November and into next year.
“It is fantastic. All three of them I know well. I endorsed all three of them,” Cruz said. “I campaigned for all three of them. Cassy Garcia was actually on my staff for seven years—she was my South Texas director and my deputy state director, so I’ve worked side-by-side with Cassy for many years. All three of them are rock stars. It’s exciting—but one of the points—my dad goes down to South Texas a lot. You know my dad. He’s a pastor and he’s passionate. He does Spanish language radio. He makes a point in South Texas that I think is really consequential. He says, ‘Look, there was a long time, there were a hundred years where Texas was a one-party state. We were a Democrat state—that’s all Texas elected was Democrats for about a hundred years. At that time, there was a political battle but it was in the Democrat primary and it was between conservative Democrats and liberal Democrats. The whole political fight in Texas was in that primary.’ The point my dad makes is he says, ‘Look, Hispanics in Texas were always conservative Democrats. They were never the liberal Democrats. In those primaries, Hispanics voted for the conservative Democrats.’ What’s happened is today’s Democratic Party has thrown all the conservative Democrats out. There aren’t any left. So you still have some voters that remember that kind of old history, but you look to today’s woke left—and by the way the same speech where Jill Biden called all Hispanics tacos, that was also called a LatinX conference. I will tell you right now, anybody using the word LatinX ain’t Latino. I guarantee you they are a woke white liberal that views Hispanics as tacos. You look at literally the language—Latino and Latina—we put masculine and feminine on just about every word. Just about every noun has masculine and feminine. This bizarre gender ideology of the far left where they don’t think women exist and they don’t think Latinos exist, I think a lot of the Hispanic community [think], ‘you people are crazy.’”
But even beyond the early parts of this trend showing in South Texas and in South Florida in recent years, Cruz senses this to be a national trend among Hispanic voters. He points to the candidacy of Yesli Vega in Virginia’s seventh congressional district. Vega, with Cruz’s help, just won the GOP nomination for Congress there and will face Democrat Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) in November. A Hispanic woman with a law enforcement background and a personal history of pain inflicted by MS-13, Cruz sees a strong future for Vega in Congress—and thinks this shows the trend reaches much further into the country than the southernmost tips of Texas and Florida.
“I think it is very much a national trend. You look at the district in Virginia, Yesli Vega,” Cruz said. “That was a vigorously contested primary. There were a number of strong Republicans running. I endorsed Yesli Vega early and I went and campaigned with her. I went and did rallies with her in the district the day before primary election day. Yesli’s story—she is the daughter of immigrants from El Salvador. Her brother was shot and nearly killed by MS-13 so she knows firsthand the real price of illegal immigration, the real ugly downside of it having seen that kind of gang violence. She is married to a soldier and the two of them were stationed for a period of time in Korea. She herself is a police officer. She is a mom of two teenage kids. She is an amazing dynamic speaker and I went and campaigned with her. We had fantastic rallies. She won a decisive victory in the primary. I think in November she is going to defeat a Democrat incumbent. We’re going to get to January of next year and we could easily have four new Republicans, all of whom are Hispanic women. I can’t wait for Nancy Pelosi or AOC to start arguing to them ‘Hey, illegal immigration isn’t a problem’ and have them be able to call out what garbage that is. That’s happening in Virginia. It’s happening in Texas. It’s happening in Florida. It’s happening across the country. And I’ll say in Florida there is another factor that’s at play, which is in Florida you have obviously a significant Cuban-American population. You also have a significant Venezuelan population. Both Cuba and Venezuela, they’ve seen firsthand the disasters of Communism and socialism. Many of the Cuban-Americans and Venezuelan-Americans living in Florida, they fled the disasters of Communism and socialism. So when they see Democrats calling themselves socialists and enacting socialist policies, they know firsthand. Growing up, my dad had fled Cuba and so I was raised knowing where this leads and the misery and poverty it leads to. That’s a real blessing to Florida to have so many Floridians who have seen this story before and they don’t like how it ends so they want to change it here.”
Cruz also said that beyond Hispanic GOP candidates like the ones in South Texas and Florida and in Virginia, among other places, he thinks this trend carries over with the Hispanic community voting Republican across the board in many elections. He credited Trump for having a huge hand in getting this trend rolling, and says that Democrats abandoning working class Americans—and Republicans standing up for the working class—has led to a tectonic shift in U.S. politics over the past couple decades.

“I do see this trend continuing and I think it is nationwide,” Cruz said. “I think Donald Trump played a big part in it. We saw particularly in 2020 that Trump’s numbers with Hispanics went up significantly. I think a big part of it has to do with the socioeconomic shift of politics. You think about it, 20 years ago conventional wisdom was that the Republicans were the party of the rich and the Democrats were the party of the poor and the working class. That’s turned on its head. Today’s Democratic Party is the party of rich, coastal billionaires. That’s who they listen to. That’s whose agenda they follow. They focus on the gazillionaires and they’ve abandoned the working people. You look at the heart of the Republican Party and it’s blue collar workers. The heart of the Republican Party—if you’re a Hispanic guy in South Texas and you work in the oil field and you drive a pickup truck and you go bird hunting on the weekends, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris want to take away your job, want to destroy your livelihood, want to eliminate your ability to provide for your kids, want to take away your rights of free speech and religious liberty, and we’re seeing those voters moving away from that agenda.”
A major issue Cruz said he views as powerful in fighting on this front is school choice.
“I’ll tell you another issue I think is really powerful is school choice,” Cruz said. “I think school choice is the civil rights issue of this century. The Democrats are so hateful and they’re so bought and paid for by the teachers union bosses that they’re willing to consign entire generations of low-income kids, many of whom are African-American or Hispanic, they’re willing to just abandon them in schools that are failing them. I believe and am very passionate about school choice. I’ve been the leading advocate of school choice in the Senate for a decade. I believe that Republicans—we ought to be campaigning in every neighborhood in every state saying that every child in Texas and every child in America deserves access to an excellent education regardless of your race and regardless of your ethnicity, your wealth, your zip code—it doesn’t matter. If a kid gets access to a great education, the rest of that child’s future is transformed, and if they don’t get access to an excellent education the rest of their future is likely to be much, much worse. That’s a powerful issue in the Hispanic community.”
He said that crime is a major issue, too, and hammered New York Democrats for being weak on crime, as this interview took place the day after Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), the GOP nominee for governor in New York, was attacked by a man wielding a weapon at a campaign stop in the state.
“I think crime is a major issue in this race. If you look at the national polling, the number one issue is inflation and gas prices in particular and the number two issue in the country is crime, and illegal immigration is the number three issue—and crime and illegal immigration are closely intertwined,” Cruz said. “You look at these blue state governors, you look at these leftwing mayors, these George Soros-funded prosecutors and DAs who are letting violent criminals go and it is insane. We are seeing crime rates go up, murder rates go up, carjacking rates go up. It was horrific seeing what happened. Lee is a friend of mine. Lee is a really good guy. I campaigned for Lee really early on. When he first ran for Congress, I campaigned for him early on in Long Island. To see that guy—I mean, that was an attempted murder. Thankfully, Lee reacted quickly and grabbed the guy’s wrist and held it away. Then the guy was tackled and disabled, but it was really within hours they let him go. The attempted murderer got let go because New York has this cash-free bail where basically ‘Hey you’re a violent criminal, let’s put you back out on the street.’ So many of these crimes are being committed by violent criminals who have been let out on the street by these Democrat politicians and they do it over and over and over again. It’s quite striking that yesterday Lee Zeldin put out his first digital ad and the digital ad is on crime and cash-free bail and talking about the idiotic New York District Attorney where you had a robber come in and try to rob a bodega or as Jill Biden would call it a ‘bogeda.’ The clerk defended himself, killed the robber, and so the New York DA prosecuted the clerk who was the victim of the robbery, and it’s a sign of just the insanity. I do think in the Hispanic community and I think in the African-American community and I think in even white liberals—there’s an old joke that a conservative is a liberal who got mugged. This crime is getting bad and it is the policies of the Democrats that are driving it. I think there are a lot of New Yorkers who are fed up with this and there are a lot of Californians who see criminals just walking into stores and just robbing stores in broad daylight. You had to laugh at Starbucks closing stores all over the country because of the crime policies of leftwing DAs. Starbucks, one of the most leftwing companies in the country, they support all of these leftwing politicians—and now they’re getting by the idiotic policies those politicians are putting in place.”
GOP lawmakers in Texas are warning pro-abortion groups that efforts to help women get abortions could violate state laws and result in felony charges.
The Texas Freedom Caucus sent a letter this month to Sidley LLP law firm, which has offered to pay the expenses of women who want to travel to another state where it is still legal to abort unborn children and other violations.
The letter says, in part:
It has come to our attention that Sidley Austin has decided to reimburse the travel costs of employees who leave Texas to murder their unborn children. It also appears that Sidley has been complicit in illegal abortions that were performed in Texas before and after the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, No. 19-1392. We are writing to inform you of the consequences that you and your colleagues will face for these actions.
Abortion is a felony criminal offense in Texas unless the mother’s life is in danger. See West’s Texas Civil Statutes, article 4512.1 (1974) (attached). The law of Texas also imposes felony criminal liability on any person who “furnishes the means for procuring an abortion knowing the purpose intended.” West’s Texas Civil Statutes, article 4512.2 (1974). This has been the law of Texas since 1925, and Texas did not repeal these criminal prohibitions in response to Roe v. Wade, 410 U.S. 113 (1973). These criminal prohibitions extend to drug-induced abortions if any part of the drug regimen is ingested in Texas, even if the drugs were dispensed by an out-of-state abortionist. To the extent that Sidley is facilitating abortions performed in violation of article 4512.1, it is exposing itself and each of its partners to felony criminal prosecution and disbarment.
It also appears that Sidley may have aided or abetted drug-induced abortions in violation of the Texas Heartbeat Act, by paying for abortions (or abortion-related travel) in which the patient ingested the second drug in Texas after receiving the drugs from an out-of-state provider. Litigation is already underway to uncover the identity of those who aided or abetted these and other illegal abortions.
The Guardianreported on the development as “threats” to women seeking abortion and the caucus’s upcoming effort to craft legislation to strengthen state laws to protect unborn children:
The lawmakers also outlined proposed legislation that would allow individuals to sue anyone who financially assists with a Texan’s abortion, regardless of where the abortion occurs. The law proposes that such assistance be considered criminal even if a Texan travelled out of state for a medication abortion and took part of the drug in Texas.
Texas already allows individuals to bring civil cases on abortion, potentially costing defendants tens of thousands of dollars; the proposed new legislation would build on it, making defendants liable for actions that happen out-of-state, even where abortion is still legal.
The letter is just the latest move by rightwing lawmakers, lawyers and activists to crack down on abortion provision in Texas. Last week, the state’s attorney general, Ken Paxton, sued the Biden administration for mandating that states provide abortions in medical emergencies. In March, a state legislator, Briscoe Cain, sent a cease and desist letter to Citibank, who had announced a policy to pay for employees’ out of state abortion expenses.
“’What they’re really doing is a spaghetti test, where they’re just gonna throw everything at the wall and see what the courts are willing to stomach,’ Brian Hauss, a staff attorney for the ACLU,” said in the Guardian report.
Al Gore Compares ‘Climate Skeptics’ with Uvalde Police Officers in Texas
Let Schoolchildren Get Massacred
Climate change charlatan Al Gore is back from irrelevancy to try to make climate change relevant to the daily lives of Americans. In a Sunday airing of NBC’s Meet the Press, Gore clumsily tried to guilt trip climate skeptics into vicarious blame for the Uvalde mass shooting.
Gore told NBC’s Chuck Todd that “climate deniers” are like the law enforcement officers who waited “outside an unlocked door while the children were being massacred” at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
On Meet the Press, Chuck Todd asked Gore what he believed could overcome the challenge of “political will.”
“It’s not just in this country; China and India are emerging powers that are reliant on fossil fuels, Europe is backsliding with the decision on methane,” said Todd. “If the United States can’t be a global leader here, who will?” Todd asked.
“Well, the United States must step up and provide leadership. And of course, President Biden’s been trying to do that. And he has a 50-50 Senate, really a 49-51 Senate on everything related to the climate, and a razor-thin majority in the House,” Gore replied.
Al Gore, once again revealing he is not a scientist, but a politician, echoed Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s comments on the Supreme Court in the wake of its decision overturning Roe v. Wade.
“You know, Abraham Lincoln once said, ‘With public sentiment, everything is possible. Without it, nothing can succeed.’ The rest of us need to step up,” he said. “And we’ve got an election coming up. And this is time for all of us to step up.”
Gore then compared those who rightfully question the ‘manmade climate change’ narrative with Uvalde police officers who allowed children to get slaughtered by a mass shooter.
“You know, the climate deniers are really in some ways similar to all of those almost 400 law enforcement officers in Uvalde, Texas, who were waiting outside an unlocked door while the children were being massacred,” he said. “They heard the screams, they heard the gunshots, and nobody stepped forward.”
Gore then made sure to add an offhand remark to blunt the insult to police officers and grieving families.
“And God bless those families who’ve suffered so much. And law enforcement officials tell us that’s not typical of what law enforcement usually does,” he quickly added.
“And confronted with this global emergency, what we’re doing with our inaction and failing to walk through the door and stop the killing is not typical of what we are capable of as human beings,” he went on. “We do have the solutions. And I think these extreme events that are getting steadily worse and more severe are really beginning to change minds.”
One way to ‘change minds,’ is to tell the ‘inconvenient truth,’ and not repeat baseless lies.
Al Gore’s fictitious film “An Inconvenient Truth” depicted San Francisco, Florida, The Netherlands, Beijing, Shanghai, Calcutta and then Manhattan. disappearing under rising oceans.
“But this is what would happen to Manhattan, they can measure this precisely,” Gore warned.
Obviously, Manhattan is still above water. Al Gore would frequently repeat this claim about New York City, settling at one point that 2013 would be the year it meet the fate of the lost city of Atlantis.
“Some of the models suggest to Dr. (Wieslav) Maslowski that there is a 75% chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during some of the summer months, could be completely ice-free within the next five to seven years,” Gore said in a speech.
The claim was based in part on purported melting in Greenland, which has roughly the same ice coverage today as it did in 1980, and just had its lowest spring melt in the past decade. The National Snow and Ice Center explains why Greenland’s ice is not in danger of melting.
“Above average snowfall for the past two years over the southern continent may equal or exceed the amount of ice loss from excess outflow from the glaciers and seasonal melting,” the NSIC explains.
Gore also predicted in 2006 that the ‘snows of Kilimanjaro’ would be wiped out in the next decade. The snows, however, defied the prognostications. He predicted an increase in hurricanes, only for the number of hurricanes to decrease.
This isn’t just to pick on Al Gore. Apocalyptic climate change warnings have been debunked time and time again over the last 50 years: Everything from the ‘coming ice age’ in the 1970s to acid rain and the ozone layer crisis in the 1980s to global warming predictions in the 90s. These failed predictions have one consistent theme: Left-wing proselytizers have repeatedly tried to weaponize such ‘science’ to serve their radical agenda. And part of their socialist playbook means demonizing anyone who dares question them.
But sealing the deal that the multi-millionaire Gore doesn’t believe his own climate change dogma is that he bought a beachfront home in Montecito, California in 2010, still owns an energy-sucking mansion in Nashville, and flies in a private jet around the globe, including to a ‘climate summit‘ with hundreds of other supposed ‘environmentalists’ in 2021.
If Al Gore believed that ‘climate skeptics’ were akin to Uvalde police officers who didnothing while a massacre took place, then he should count himself as a fellow deputy. Beyond Gore’s incendiary rhetoric about global warming, he has taken no personal action during his purported crusade that shows he takes it seriously.
Real science demands skepticism. And Americans have every reason to be skeptical of a charlatan who has ‘rules for thee, but not for me.’

Democrats love to talk about democracy — mostly about how it’s under threat from Republicans and “Christian nationalists” and anyone who opposes their agenda. But at least on a rhetorical level, they seem to love and cherish democracy and rightly think that a government of the people and by the people is the surest safeguard against tyranny.
In practice, though, they hate democracy and will use every tool at their disposal to subvert and destroy it. Hardly a day goes by that Democrats don’t proclaim as much by their actions. Just look at their response to the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade last month, which triggered laws in more than a dozen states banning or placing new restrictions on abortion. Voters in those states elected the people who passed these new laws, which in some cases are broadly popular. By overturning Roe, the court breathed new life into the democratic process, returning an issue to the American people that a previous Supreme Court had snatched away from them.
But Democrats don’t really want democracy when it comes to abortion. They prefer the raw exercise of executive power. This week, Attorney General Merrick Garland threatened to sue states that have outlawed or restricted abortion since the end of Roe, and he also said the Justice Department would try to get a judge to toss a Texas lawsuit that would block newly issued rules from the Biden administration’s U.S. Department of Health and Human Services forcing doctors to perform abortions in emergency rooms.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Garland’s DOJ said last week it had launched a special task force to “evaluate state laws that hinder women’s ability to seek abortions in other states where the procedure remains legal or that ban federally approved medication that terminates a pregnancy.” The task force will also “oppose state efforts to penalize federal employees” who perform abortions “authorized by federal law.”
What could that mean? Well, take a look at the lawsuit Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton just filed against HHS. The administration is trying to use the federal Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) to force ER doctors to perform abortions, even if it contravenes state laws outlawing the procedure. EMTALA was passed in 1986 as a way to prevent “patient dumping,” or turning away people who couldn’t pay, and it requires hospitals that receive Medicare money (which today is all of them) to treat people who show up at an ER in need of emergency treatment.
The Texas lawsuit argues the Biden administration is trying to “use federal law to transform every emergency room in the country into a walk-in abortion clinic,” and that “EMTALA does not authorize — and has never authorized — the federal government to compel healthcare providers to perform abortions.”
Garland and HHS claim that EMTALA preempts state law, but it’s unclear what that means in the context of the new HHS rules. If a state legislature passed a law saying that emergency rooms are prohibited from treating patients without health insurance, then yeah, EMTALA would preempt that.
But as Paxton’s lawsuit rightly notes, EMTALA says nothing about abortion, nor does it say anything about which specific treatments a hospital ER must administer. It only states that Medicare-participating hospitals have to provide “stabilizing treatment” for “emergency medical conditions,” and it specifically defines both those terms in the statute.
For Democrats, though, laws passed by representatives of the people are no obstacle to their attempt to rule by administrative fiat. On July 11, the Biden administration’s Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services issued “guidance” purportedly reminding hospitals of their obligations under EMTALA. But the guidance was much more than a reminder, and it was accompanied by a letter from HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra that amounted to an abortion mandate for hospitals, asserting powers under EMTALA that simply don’t exist anywhere in federal law.
First, Becerra’s letter claims that if an ER doctor determines that “abortion is the stabilizing treatment necessary to resolve [an emergency medical condition as defined by EMTALA], the physician must provide that treatment.”
But this is nothing more than a cheap word game. Abortion isn’t a “stabilizing treatment,” and nowhere in federal law is it construed as such. Becerra is conflating Democrats’ loose rhetoric about abortion — that it’s “reproductive healthcare” or “women’s health” — with the straightforward reality of the federal EMTALA statute, which says nothing about abortion and, to the contrary, specifically mentions an “emergency medical condition” as one that threatens the life of an unborn child.
Second, Becerra’s false claim that EMTALA preempts state abortion laws is contradicted by the plain language of EMTALA itself, which says the law doesn’t preempt state law “except to the extent that the requirement directly conflicts with a requirement” of EMTALA. But abortion is not a requirement of EMTALA and doesn’t even fit the law’s definition of “stabilizing treatment” for an “emergency medical condition.”
In a decent country, Texas would easily win this lawsuit — and the Justice Department would never step in to try to get it thrown out. But Democrats are committed to subverting the democratic process at both the state and federal level in order to preserve some shred of their abortion regime. They want to preempt state laws they don’t like by twisting the meaning of federal laws that don’t have anything to say about abortion.
Remember that the next time you hear President Biden or some other leading Democrat talk about “threats to democracy.” They don’t care about democracy, they care about power. And they will use every ounce of it they have to advance their policies — the will of the people be damned.

The American Academy of Pediatrics called for “reproductive justice” and advocated for pediatricians helping minors get abortions without their parents’ knowledge in the July issue of its official journal Pediatrics.
Like other pro-abortion advocates who exploit young and vulnerable girls to advance their agenda — as in the recent viral story of the 10-year-old Ohio rape victim — the article used the story of a 14-year-old Guatemalan immigrant girl to argue for a more “holistic approach to reproductive rights that considers factors such as race, language, and socioeconomic status on the reproductive health of women.”
According to the article, the girl experienced complications after taking the abortion drug misoprostol and went to a facility that gave her a surgical abortion and helped her with the “judicial bypass” process so she could do it without her parents’ knowledge. After the abortion, the girl received a Nexplanon implant — a type of birth control that increases the chance that any pregnancy that occurs will be ectopic and puts the female at greater risk of blood clots, heart attacks, and strokes.
The academy’s takeaway from this story, which it foisted upon its readers, was that the “pediatric community” should “advocate for reproductive policies that expand access to care for adolescent patients.” In other words, it thinks doctors should push for making it easier for kids to abort their own children. Further, the American Academy of Pediatrics wants to hide this from minors’ parents and couches its concern in terms of the “deeply intertwined social, economic, and cultural barriers” of racial minorities.
“Now more than ever, training programs should ensure that pediatric residents competently provide culturally sensitive, nonjudgmental counseling around abortion care, contraception, and judicial bypass,” the article said.
Dr. George Fidone, who has a large private practice with five clinics in Texas, told The Federalist that the journal has become increasingly left-leaning. “Years ago the lead article might be on meningitis or pneumonia or a new vaccine or whatever,” he said. “Now it’s all about trans health, gender fluidity, how we’re supposed to counsel people, starting at very young ages, about the notion of gender fluidity or whatever.”
The article also said the academy “joined 38 other physician groups in opposing the passage of Texas Senate Bill 8,” which prohibits abortions after a baby’s heartbeat can be detected.
“So the American Academy of Pediatrics is advocating for the wholesale murder of unborn children,” Fidone said. “What? What has the state of our academy become?”

The First Lady made her remarks off of prepared text during a speech at the Latinx IncluXion Luncheon in the Texas city Monday.
Raul helped build this organization with the understanding that the diversity of this community—as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio—is your strength.
The first lady’s remarks shocked many in the Latino community, who viewed her remarks as out-of-touch and even racist.
Jill Biden, who works as a professor in a college English department, also mispronounced the word “bodega,” further demonstrating her ignorance of Latino culture.
Many on social media resurfaced a clip of the First Lady botching the pronunciation of the slogan “Si se puede!” during a speech in 2021.
It’s “Si se puede” (Yes you/we can) not “Si se pwadueh” 🏻♀️
I can’t even imagine what word she was trying to say. Seriously why even try pandering if you’re going to butcher it and not practice before?! https://t.co/yKluZVSP6w
Immediately after Gov. Kay Ivey (R-AL) signed the bill, U.S. Middle District of Alabama Judge Myron Thompson ruled the law could not go into effect based on Supreme Court precedents that forbid bans before fetal viability. However, following the release of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, Thompson lifted the injunction, and the ban is now law.
A San Francisco-based pro-abortion activist group, known as PRROWESS, or Protecting Reproductive Rights of Women Endangered by State Statutes, seeks to offer an end-around Alabama state law and other nearby states with abortion bans by offering election abortion services offshore in the Gulf of Mexico in international waters.
PRROWESS’s Dr. Meg Autry, an abortion provider in San Francisco who describes the procedure as her “life’s work,” told NBC Bay Area she seeks to raise about $20 million for a floating abortion clinic.
“Those in the most southern parts of Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, and Texas may be closer to the coast than to facilities in bordering states where abortion and reproductive health care are available, PRROWESS’s website says about the effort. “The clinic will be able to offer services such as contraception and point of care STI testing that may not be offered at the closest land facilities.”
Autry told NBC Bay Area that she anticipated a legal challenge from states that have banned or limited abortions but insists her effort will prove lawful.
“We have a very powerful legal team,” Autry added. “I’m sure there will be legal barriers and problems at every part of this journey.”
Per the far-left Reuters, the pure evil that is the Biden Administration has “been flying or driving minors from Texas shelters to other states for abortions.”
Now that the moral and legal atrocity known as Roe v. Wade has finally been overturned, the corporate media have and will continue to look for stories that show how awful the not-killing-of-innocent-babies is. So Reuters came up with this beauty about the terrible plight of illegal aliens who will now have trouble accessing a clinic that will kill their innocent baby.
Because Texas has outlawed abortion, and to try and turn the Lone Star state blue, Biden has opened the border in Texas. So most illegals end up in Texas, where they can’t get an abortion.
The Reuters’ cry-me-a-river headline reads: “Abortion worries heightened for unauthorized immigrants in the U.S.”
“Unauthorized immigrants” is Newspeak for “illegal alien who should immediately be deported but isn’t because Democrats need a captive future voting bloc.”
So now we’re supposed to be upset about Roe v. Wade being overturned because people who are breaking illegally into our country, who have no business being in our country, can’t kill their innocent babies in our country.
But here’s the buried lede…
Not only is Joe Biden allowing illegal aliens to swarm into Texas…. He’s transporting minor illegal aliens — children — to states outside of Texas to kill their babies and has been for some time—nine months, actually, if you can appreciate a ghoulish kind of irony…
Biden officials are exploring ways to provide abortion access for pregnant women and girls in U.S. immigration custody in states with bans, four U.S. officials who requested anonymity to discuss the government plans told Reuters.
Many federal shelters for unaccompanied children apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border are located in Texas, where a Republican-backed law that went into effect in September banned abortions at six weeks.
For the past nine months, U.S. health officials have been flying or driving minors from Texas shelters to other states for abortions. Advocates say more guidance is needed now, and fast.
Who do we think is picking up that tab?
Who do we think is paying for bus or car or flight?
Are U.S. taxpayers paying for the actual abortion, which is a violation of the Hyde Amendment?
So now, getting an abortion is yet one more incentive to flood our country with illegals.
This is all part of the plan to replace us. What else could it be?
